Puer Tuo Cha


This large nest variety is produced in Meng Hai County in Yunnan Province and is one of our darker, ruddier pu-ers. It has a strong earthy, slightly astringent flavor, reminiscent of underground caverns where treasures are kept.

Break off a large chunk about a heaping teaspoon in size, using a pu-er knife and put it in a gaiwan. Pour boiling water over it and discard first rinse. Pour a second amount of water and let steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Strain into cup.
