Local artist Laura Baum has created some amazing teaware for us. Hand-made Matcha bowls and some beautiful Japanese-inspired teacups are now available for purchase at the tearoom. These are seriously well-made items.
Laura lived in Asia for close to two decades, learning the traditional art styles of China, Nepal, and Japan. She is a painter-turned-potter, applying all of the skills that enrich her painting into these teacups.
“My travels to Japan inspired me and pottery has become something I love. It brings beauty into our lives, through everyday objects. The ceramic art community has become my new family in Vermont.”
We have many different cups and bowls from Laura on display. Each one is different, although some are in sets. Please come in and take a look. You can see more of Laura’s art at her website.
